This past weekend we were up in the wine country again shooting a piece for Christie Consulting. We shot a video for SIPS, an exclusive wine tasting experience for those that are interested in getting a hands-on experience in the vineyard and at wineries...plus fantastic wine country cuisine! It was a full day that included aroma seminars, cellar tours, vineyard walks, and helicopter tours. What fun!
Above is a photo of James with camera in the wine country, and John shooting some aerials of Dry Creek, Russian River and Alexander valleys out of the helicopter.

We took a trip up to the wine country this weekend to visit some friends, plus we have a couple of business meetings with potential clients on Monday to discuss future projects. The weather was beautiful and we had the opportunity to take a quick hike behind my dad's house. Fall is such a beautiful time of year!
We anticipate that as fall turns to winter and the weather gets a little worse that things will slow down a bit. However, it doesn't seem to be going in that direction just yet. Video continues to expand as a tool for use on the internet and we feel that the experience we have had so far with this has been very good.
We had a successful shoot with Uppal Insurance on the 4th of October that went really well. They are a full service insurance company with a GREAT team of employees. We had a lot of fun with them and look forward to finalizing that project.
Keep you eyes open in a month or so for a national commercial spot that we're shooting and producing for Recreditpair. We'll be shooting that this week and getting it up soon.
This Thursday and Friday, we'll be a part of the 1st Annual Golf Tournament sponsored by AFLAC to raise money for Curing Kids' Cancer. We are excited to be a sponsor for this event. We'll be shooting their awards ceremony and will also be in attendance at the golf tournament to conduct interviews with celebrities and event coordinators for this awesome event. We'll be creating a 30-minute video and a 2-minute promo so that they can continue gaining support for their event in years to come. It should be fun!

We drove nearly 1,000 miles this past weekend - down to San Diego and back - for a shoot with Webstorytellers. It was a fun adventure but an exhausting start to a busy week!
We had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Hayes last week, a therapist who works with couples, individuals, children and their families up in El Dorado Hills. She did simple 1-minute video clips to introduce potential clients to her style, personality and services on her website. She was extremely composed on camera and did a great job. Please check out her therapy website because she should have the videos up and running soon!
We will also be adding one of her clips to our Business Profiles section shortly. Business Profile videos are a great way to express who you are online and let clients learn just little bit about you. They are easy and extremely affordable. However, not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera, even after a lot of practice.
Depending on your style and ease in front of a camera, you may want to consider hiring professional voice over and/or actors for you video. For example, SIMZ hired Jason Kuykendall for our welcome video because he is professional, composed and did a much better job describing SIMZ' services than either of us could do.
